  • FOUNDER & LEAD COACH

    Kim O’Malley is a Leadership Development Specialist and Program Design Consultant with 20 years of experience designing and delivering purpose driven leadership programs in a wide range of settings. Kim specializes in helping leaders develop their team and organizational cultures. She uses the design thinking process to carefully craft and customize trainings, presentations and toolkits to be responsive to the needs and assets of the communities she serves.

  • DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

    Jon is an innovative leader who has worked in the experiential education, conservation, recreation and adventure travel fields for 15+ years. He has been involved with numerous organizations including Outward Bound, Sierra Club and REI. Jon specializes in program development, creative brand actualization, staff training and engagement, product innovation, operations & logistics, risk management and making ideas tangible.

  • OUTDOOR PROGRAMS SPECIALIST

    Dr. José H. González is a Faculty Member and the Director of Experiential Education at The Overlake School in Redmond, Washington. He is a Boricua—born and raised in Puerto Rico—and has worked for multiple Outward Bound schools, NOLS, and several universities. José has co-authored two books (one of them in Spanish) and several articles for the canopy tour and zipline industry. He is an active instructor trainer for the American Canoe Association with several certifications in sea kayaking and stand up paddleboarding.

  • YOUTH DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST

    Dr. Norton is a Professor in the School of Social Work at Texas State University and has over 20 years of experience working with youth and young adults in a variety of settings including therapeutic wilderness programs, juvenile justice, schools, mentoring and campus support programs. She has taught as adjunct faculty at The University of Denver, Prescott College, and Naropa University. Her areas of practice and research interest and expertise are in positive youth development; innovative interventions in child and adolescent mental health; adventure therapy; outdoor behavioral healthcare; experiential education; foster care support in higher education; and international social work. She received her Ph.D. in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago, has a Master of Arts in Social Service Administration from the University of Chicago and a Master of Science in Experiential Education from Minnesota State University-Mankato.

  • SCHOOL DESIGN SPECIALIST

    Kyle Gamba is the Founder and Lead Learning Instigator at La Luz Education—a Denver micro-school with a focus on experiential learning, relationship building and character development. After almost two decades in traditional education as an educator and principal in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico and Denver Public Schools, Kyle created La Luz as an "unschool" that is all about relationships, experiences and getting a little better each day. He places a focus on community and leans towards instilling important life skills in students. Kyle has a Master of Public Administration degree from UC Denver, and Principal Licensure and Doctor of Education (Ed.D) distinction from University of Denver.
